Apple Begins assembling of iPhone7 in Bangalore

In a move to keep its Indian manufacturing plant active, tech giant, Apple has rolled the ball at its supplier Wistron's facility in Bangalore, India by assembling iPhone7. The assembling process started in March 2019.

A spokesperson from Apple stated that the company is proud to produce iPhone7 at Rs. 37,999 in Bangalore for the local market fostering a long term commitment in the country.

Other than Apple, Wistron, the Taiwan-based company already assembles iPhone6s in India.

Earlier, Apple operations kicked off for Wistron when it started assembling low-end iPhone SE and iPhone 6s. Wistron has also unveiled its Rs 3,000 crore investment plan in Kolar district of Karnataka.

Wistron would establish an iPhone manufacturing unit in the allotted 43 acres allotted in land in Kolar. Moreover, the plane could create employment for 10,000 people. The facility is also ready to produce a wide range of Apple’s devices.

Coming to Apple, the company is slowly manipulating its strategies to created deeper inner roads in a nation where there are more than 450 million smartphone users.

For the Indian market, the price is an important factor when purchasing a smartphone. The Cupertino-giant has already begun slashing down the prices of iPhone for the Chinese market and might also do the same for the Indian market.

This is the first time when Apple has cut down the prices of the iPhone on its official website in China.
