WhatsApp Beta for iPhone Allegedly Adds In-App Playback for YouTube Videos

WhatsApp Beta for iPhone Allegedly Adds In-App Playback for YouTube Videos

In order to see the videos from Google's video-sharing platform, users usually have to go outside WhatsApp by tapping the links sent to them by their friends or family. Though, with the version 2.17.40 of the iPhone app, WhatsApp is now allegedly testing in-app YouTube playback support in a beta version of its app.

The support for YouTube video playback, which was been discovered by WABetaInfo, is not obtainable to the public extensively as the feature is at present in testing phase currently. As per WABetaInfo report, this feature permits users to play videos from YouTube in picture-in-picture mode. The users can resize the window with a touch or play videos in full-screen mode. If the user want to browse through other messages within the similar WhatsApp chat, or hide the video on the side.

Particularly, the video playback will not persist when you modify the chat. There is one more caution to the feature as it will be available for iPhone 6 only and later models, most probably due the larger display size in contrast to the predecessors, the report notes. As the feature has only been marked on the iOS, it remains to be seen if it will be making its way to other platforms soon as well.

The users widely can anticipate to see it making its way to the app soon, except WhatsApp finds definite issues with the accomplishment with this feature,  ss playing YouTube videos outside the app has been an botheration for so long, we will keenly wait to see the feature roll out widely.
